Hello,
I am having a little problem here. I tried to ge GTA:SA to work on my USB-HDD (using USBAdvance) and it didn't work. I merged GTA with Action Replay Max (followed a tutorial) and then wrote the ISO to the HDD. All went fine. But when I try to boot it on the PS2 (v14, BTW), I get a white snowy screen, which won't dissappear. I connect the HDD to the PC.
Opened up USBExtreme, and looked at the size of the game which was incorrect and was something like 250040 KB. However, the Iso is 4,4 GB and it backed up to the HDD without an error. I thought that the problem was AR Max, and I deleted the game and put in my GTA:SA DVD (originalversion, no backup). Again it began to install and when It was completed, the size was again, incorrect. Does anyone has a fix or something? BTW: My GTA San Andreas is a PAL version.
I know what you're saying. I put GTA:SA and MGS3 on my USBHDD using USBEXTREME and the sizes show up way off. I am not so sure on a fix for this. I have about 20 games converted on my HDD and the sizes are all off. I am not sure if USBEXTREME reads the file size correctly. I also found out that USBEXTREME can only take a certain amount of characters for the game name. If you go over the character size limit it will install the game on your HDD but not show it on the USBEXTREME list. I wish I could give you more help but I am currently in a situation where I cannot do anything. I am waiting on my SWAPMAGIC disk to come in the mail. It is supposed to be here Monday but I have no tracking information available since it arrived in the states from Canada so I dunno.
I have made 16 games into ISO's and 2 of which are 2 disk. I did a calculation of my ISO file size and compared it to the size on my USBHDD and they were exactly the same. I am pretty sure the USBExtreme list is showing them way off. 63.5GB of ISO and 63.5GB on my USBHDD after they are converted.
