3.02 oe-b iso loading problem

Ok this custom firmware is complete garbage. I'm trying to dump iso's into my memory stick with a umd dumper and it just doesn't boot at all. I put it into the ISO folder located in the root of the memory stick. I run it and i keep getting "game could not be started error". What am i doing wrong?

Oh i have a umd always in my psp when doing this. In 1.50 i'm able to run 90 percent of my iso's through devhook but on 3.02 oe-b, i'm unable to load even one iso.

I dont know what the problem could be accept maybe bad ISOs. Maybe try reinstalling the firmware.

This thread is supposed to be used to help one another. To Grokki, what you said was completly irrelevant to my topic. This shows how ignorant you are and that you should see a mental doctor to treat your abnormalities right away ok??
I created a ISO folder in my root and dumped carbon/fifa 06 and both do not work. I'm dumping hot shots and i'll see if it works now.

Hot shots work but carbon/fifa 06 both don't work. Why is that? I'm getting a "game could not be started error". By the way, I don't think i should re-install the firmware as hot shots is working.

Wait, multiplayer doesn't work. This firmware is just stupid. I'm unable to play games with my uncle with ad-hoc or anything.

Posssibly, but every iso I have doesn't work. I tried dumpung wwe 2006, and it loads. However, it crashes at the menu.

did you mess around w/ the firmware's settings?
are your iso files in the ISO folder?
i have fifa 07 and it runs flawlessly

I did change some of the firmware settings located in the recovery menu. However, i didn't change much except adding a psx plugin and disabling the corrupt menu icons.

That is one truth in that issue however, forum ranks doesn't really indicate your status as a "noob". My definition of a "noob" is when a person posts in a thread without sticking to the topic. That shows how ignorant that person may be. Then again, there are many definitions of what a "noob" is. So maybe we won't really ever know what that one true definition may be.
Back to topic now, how do I get this to work? May I add that the playstation one emulator works nearly perfect for me. Final Fantaasy 8 runs at full speed but, it also crashes at boss fights. That's a universal problem which is not related to the firmware. So i know the custom firmware installation is not corrupt.

This is kind of off topic but, I think the true deffinition(spelling?) of a noob is "one who is new or ignorant of whatever he or she is a noob of".

I'm a little hesitant towards re-installing the firmware. That shouldn't be a problem anyways because the psx emulator operates flawlessly. How do i change the settings to default?

I dont think there is a setting but just go into recovery mode and undo any changes you made. If it still doesnt work, you might consider reinstalling the firmware.

I have a question before I do so. How can there be problems with the custom firmware that I installed? There is only one legit "oe-b" right? Since there is only one, why would there be a problem with it that would force me to re-install the firmware. If this is something to do with installation problems, wouldn't my psp have bricked? Now that 3.03 oe-a is out, should i just upgrade to that firmware instead?

Im not sure how it happens, but I've had problems before that just needed a reinstall. As far as upgrading to 3.03, sure. I dont see why not.

Have you tried disabling no umd in the recovery menu and trying with a game in?.i'm on 3.02OE-A and have no problems loading any game.

Ok, this is wierd. When i try to legally put my own umd's onto my psp, it doesn't work. However, if i use a torrent or illegally download an iso, it works perfectly. Can the problem be the actual umd dumper that I am using?
