I am having this problem that I know more people have because when I google it I get a lot of pages about it but no answers....been at it for days now:
devhook .5101 installed and working, firmware 3.02. Crashes at startup and when not it comes back: disk could not be read. have the demo umd inserted. have tried .cso and .iso Psp is an original 1.50. Hoping it is something with the settings:
vshex devhook setting menu:
UMD image: emulation
CPU clock : 333/166 (have tried 222 too..)
UMD SFO ver : default
Menu on boot: off
Preload address 89200000
Firmware and remote port not supported
I can escape the devhook to be back at 1.50
So starting devhook again, settings:
UMD select File emulation fifa07.iso
Firmware 3.02 (MS or Flash+MS)
CPU clock 222/111
Bootmode (why do I get 3 choices here???) XMB MENU(have tried devhook menu too)
Underneath it reads this:
UMD file : ms0:/ISO/Fifa 07.cso
UMD-SFO: /kd/pspcnf_tbl_dh_txt
reboot: flash0:/dh/302; ms0:/dh/302/f0 : ms0:/dh/05
Flash0,1: /dh/302;ms0:/dh/302/f0, /dh/302:ms0:/dh/302/f1
Remote: remote ctrl
PL-addr: 0x89200000
FW ver: 1.05.0001
I am sorry this is so lengthy but I am desperate to find out where I am going wrong and canŽt find an answer anywhere..
Deleted all the devhook stuff now, put 302oe-a and then upgraded to oe-b
Have tried fifa 07.cso in the root, go to mem stick and I see it, click on it and psp shuts down. Put 50cent bulletproof .cso on it, shows again under games/memorystick press x to start and my memstick light keeps on flickering but nothing loads. I am giving up, i follow every noob guide to the letter and still I canŽt get it to work.
I am beginning to think this may have something to do with my memory stick or is that a really stupid idea? Computer sees it, when I format it says that it has done it, but I canŽt think of anything else, restore system settings? Or would that make things worse? Thanks for your patience...
Thanks for your reply! Same problem, mem stick light flickering, screen stays black, does not start up, if I click home it gives me the option to quit the game, will try with another game, see if it is the .cso but I donŽt think so..
