DVD+R Speed Burning Question...Need Fast Answer

I need to purchase 100 pk DVD+R unbranded. Not sure about the 2.4x or 4.0x...I have an HP DVD300i burner (4x speed). Question is if I buy the 2.4x for less money, will it burn faster because my burner is 4x. Just want to be able to save money if I can because of the quantity needed. Also, saw an add that said 2.4x only burns at 1x for video...True or not? Hope this makes sense!

No, your 4x burner will only burn at 2.4x max with these dvd blanks.

lso, I think only the Riteks say 1x burn speed for video, but most name brands burn at the speed they list.

You might keep your eye on the Best Buy sale ads. I bought some Memorex 25 pks for 29.99, each. These are solid dvd+r's and also burn at 4x speed, which I utilize. Those come out to 1.20 each, which is a pretty good price. I wouldn't take a chance with some cheap-o's that might give you problems...especially buying 100 pk. That's risky business.

Unbranded cuz there are customized labels to attach and they don't want "Maxell" or "Sony" showing through.
