I just purchased DVD X Copy Gold. I backed up my Shanghai Knights DVD and tried playing on my Panasonic DVD/VCR combo unit- it is extremely choppy- sporadically spitting out maybe 1 or 2 seconds of audio and fluid video. Best Buy won't take returns because it's software. PLEASE HELP. I don't want my $120 going to waste.

Sorry to say, but you did waste $120. There are free programs that do the same thing as dvdxcopy. Also, as Dela said, what media are you using? If it is cheapo media, that would be the problem.

I've tried Minority Report with the same problem. I think DVD X Copy should have some sort of warning label on the packaging that informs the consumer about the risk of incompatability. I will look into getting 2.4x dvd-r's instead of 4x. Do you think that would do the trick?
