Hi all

I recently purchased a PS2 (old edition, not slimlime) mainly to play PES6. All works fine for offline play, but I'm having connection probs when I try and use the network online play option.

I purchased a network ethernet adapter and thought that I had set it up fine, but the PS2 could not detect my broadband connection, which is provided by NTL. I fitted the network adapter to the PS2 with the screws provided, and plugged in my broadband connection, and a green light came on, but unfortunately no connection could be made.

So what was I doing wrong? I desperately want this to work!

I have seen these 2 items on ebay, this is from Hong Kong and different from the official adapter:

(ignore the 10m cable, I dont need that)

So, what was I doing wrong previously, and what should I do now? Is it possible that the PS2 is faulty and cant be used for online play?
