Your firmware is one version behind:
http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=1973
I'd update Nero to the newest version.
Not quite sure why you are using UDF format although it does seem to be working up to the point you try to burn.
This is the error:Quote: 19:16:02 #31 SPTI -1135 File SCSIPassThrough.cpp, Line 291

Normally this is a sign of poor or incompatable media. I'm not a D/L burner so I have not used the media you are using. You may want to look in the media forum and see what is currently the best.
I would try updating Nero and then double checking that UDF format you are using. I may be way off here but that seems wrong.
I would try a single layer burn just to see if you can get that to work. That would tell us if it's media related or not.
You could also give ImgBurn a try. It's one of the best DL burners available and it's free.

Hi J273
Here's a few suggestions:
Nero Version: 7.2.3.2
Update Nero to the latest 7.5.0.9a.
Another free good burn program to try would be ImgBurn. Burns iso's or you can use the build mode for other formats.
File 'Drivers\CDRALW2K.SYS'
Roxio and Nero don't always play well. So uninstall Roxio and run the Zap Tool.
The burn fails right off the bat - what are you trying to burn - like data or a dvd?
edit to add: Hi fasfrank - ya beat me :)

Still looking like the media. Ricoh has decent single layer media but dual layer is a different story.
For dual layer use Verbatim only.
What are you trying to burn? And how did you create the image to burn?
Trying to rule that out too.

Ah a car navigation dvd. This might be part of the problem too.
They can be a little tricky but I can't be of any help w/ them cause I've never done one. They contain data & video.
Tried to find some other threads on how to back up them up but couldn't right off the bat.
I'd still switch to the Verbs - best dual layer media.
Try those Ricoh on a dvd (movie) and see how that goes.
