A company called SplitFish put a device called "Motion Adapter FX" for the PS2. They claim it adds PS3/Wii type motion control to PS2 games.

Well, I've been eyeing it for a little while, and decided to pick on up today. And it does what they say it does. It lets you use the motion sensor for moving instead of using the gamepad controls.

It plugs onto a Dual Shock controller (won't fit on my Logitech Wireless), and has a long cord that plugs into this little dongle type thingy. It has a pass thru so you can plug your controller into it.
Requires No batteries.

I was able to play Gran Turismo 3 great with it. Right now I'm about to test out the Need for Speed Carbon demo. I have Ace Combat somewhere, so I'll give that a try sometime, since it's have full movement, not just left & right.

I thought it would take me longer to get use to it, but it didn't take very long at all actually. It has lights on the face of it, in a plus pattern that shows you how balanced you are.

I sent them an email telling them they should make a PC version of this.

So, if you want to have motion control for your PS2 now, you can. Works with all games. Of course, I don't know how fun it would be in a platform game, but how knows, maybe it is.

They also sell a device for first person shooters. Guess you need to check their website. Oh, they also have some 3D glassess for the PS2, trying to find out some more info on that.
