Can I compress my movies using shrink or DVD Decrypter to AVI to save hard drive room?

to compress it and convert it to AVI you will need another type of program. One program that can do the job is called.

Thanks for the info but wondering if there is anything that is free, I am just backing up my favorite movies and dont want to use too much hd space cause I dont have a big hard drive.
