I'm in the process of getting together the neccessary components for backing up my X360 games.
Here is what I have:
*DVD+R DL Burner
*FlashFXP
*Craxtion
*Clone DVD
I still Need ?:
*Mod Chip (Globe 360 Mod Chip)
*Flash the Xbox 360 DVD drive (unsure of the process)
If I have the process right it should go like this:
1) network the console to the PC
2) run the game in the console
3) use soft ware to extract and copy game
4) Burn game onto backup disc
5) use backup in moded and flashed console
Is this correct or did I completly miss the mark?

you can't network your xbox 360 to your pc and read the game from your xbox 360. that's a no no!
here are simpler steps:
1. verify the type of xbox 360 dvd rom you have. yes you have to open your xbox!
2. then most important step of all, most people don't like to do this, but you must read and do searching on how to flash your xbox dvd rom. There are several way to flash and several firmwares out there according to your xbox 360 dvd
3. hook your xbox dvd to pc via sata cable, if you don't have sata on your motherboard then buy a PCI
4. following instructions and flash your xbox dvd rom
5. I recommend download xbox backup creator, isobuster, dvdinfo, and schrom. there are other softwares too, just read and see which ones you want to use. you can use clonecd but it is not free!
Now, you are done with the easy part and free part!
Next => money part
1. go on ebay and purchase samsung sh d162c dvd rom drive $60 USD
2. flash this samsung dvd drive with Kreon firmware. This will allow you to read xbox 360 games through PC. Read instruction with the kreon download
3. then connect samsung dvd rom to your pc and start copying games using schrom or xbox backup creator
4. patch ss.bin if neccessary
5. burn the iso using verbatim DVD+R DL, remember to booktype it to ROM
6. pop the backup into your xbox 360 and enjoy!
REMEMBER YOU MUST HAVE ORIGINAL GAMES BEFORE YOU CAN MAKE BACKUPS!

get someone to do it for you => $120 USD + 6 waiting days
