Hopefully that will do it. Posts there said they were successful this version and CloneDVD so far.
See if the updates reports a different # of bad sectors. Just curious since I won't have this one for 2 weeks.

Thanks Binkie7...I managed to copy the main title using the CloneDVD 2.9.0.3 along with the beta ver. of AnyDVD. I would have tried to keep the menus intact but while browsing through the individual chapters in CloneDVD it showed it was trying to repair dvd structure..so i didn't continue in that direction. Worked Great..
However this is the AnyDVD Description:

Glad to hear that did it.
I've had CloneDVD do that repair dvd structure on a few (full movie) may want to give it a shot - has worked fine so far for me.
Doesn't really take that long.

I believe the newer copy protection attempts do not use any new encryption scheams they 'play' with the structure. For my money Ripit4me is the most advanced, uptodate buster out there. It used the old Decrypter that hasn't been upgraded in years to do the decrypting. Ripit4me specializes in 'seeing through" structure and other deceptions. It allows you to run fixvts after the video is ripped. That does a fanstastic job making sure the video is playable. It removed blanks, bombs and any disconnects including disconnects created by surface flaws.

RI4M is good, but I don't know if I'd go that far. If it was that good I'd have to see if it removes warts. :) Just kidding. Been using the thermal paste remover again. LOL Bombs?

Bombs are boobie - trapped cells, kind of like a digital land mine. Viewers lock, they probably they go into an endless loop if they read one. If you hit one that is the end of the show. FixVTS removes them. FixVTS insures the video is contigious from the start to the finish. Eveything else is removed.

Be clear people, I'm reading: I backed up SAW III no problems with AnyDVD 6.1.?? and CloneDVD2 ???? These are "Movie Only" back ups. SAW III and now "OPEN SEASON" has Arccoss PuppetLock's toughest encryption to date and currently RipIt4Me 1.6.4.0 is the big man on campus handling this encryption and for me accompanied by DVD Decrypter and CloneDVD2 2.9.0.3 which works on the entire title/menus & extras. You will not get these same results with AnyDVD & CloneDVD2 combined at this time. 40 bad sector protections is no easy decrypt & rip and before recently with these two titles introducing this type of encryption, this had never been heard of.:P

I have AnyDVD, not sure what version. Due to trying to get RipIt4Me to work and will not work when AnyDVD is open or at least that what the warning said when installing the program. Yet I know that the version is higher than the beta everyone is saying to use. I also have cloneDVD2, and have tried to copy the movie only. Yet the finishing DVD will not play in player. I have a cyberhome, and it normally plays all. As I said before I am now tring Ripit4me, and can only hope.
Love this site and I am not sure what I would do without it? Yet if anyone could give me a little more detail in how they made the copy I would greatly appreciate it. I am not really a newby, but I do love step by step instructions.. Thanks All

I'm curious as how you know your version is higher than the beta. The beta version is 6.1.1.1 and the current release is 6.1.0.7. The series goes up.
I did Saw 3 with RI4M and now problems at all. Update with FixVTS 1.6.0.3 before doing it though.
