hi guys,
I am a newbie to burning and this is my first post so hi to every1. I have read and found your guides very useful so thx to every1 who took time out to put them together for people like me, it is very much appreciated believe me. i apologise in advance if the answer to the following is in one of these guides but being new i have been unable to find anything specific for software, all guides seem to mention games and movies.
My problem is that i have dl money 2004 and wish to copy it to cd. I used winrar to open it into another file which consided of further winrar files etc. Now what do i do from here to make a copy.
I have alcohol and nero plus a few others like vcdeasy etc. I know that there is probably a guide for this somewhere so please direct me.

So after extracting all the WinRar files do you have a folder with a bunch of files inside that folder (exe) or a file format such as iso, bin&cue, img, ccd.......= examples.

If You Have a Bunch of Files
1. Open up Nero and burn all the files as a DATA cd.
If you have a CD Image (BIN&CUE/ISO/NRG, IMG, CDI, etc)
1. If you have a BIN&CUE, ISO or NRG file the simplest way to burn that is to open up Nero 5.x --> File --> Burn Image and select the respective file. If you are using Nero6, then Open Nero6 --> Recorder --> Burn Image and select the respective file.
2. If you have an IMG/CDI or one of the gazillions of other formats the simplest solutions may be just to convert to BIN/ISO format and burn using technique 1. To do the conversion look into CDMage, WinISO and UltraISO.

Hi Guys,
Thanks very much for your help and reply.
What i did was extract the first file which had a bin and a cue and i then opened alcohol and used it to locate the cue file and burn it. It worked fine and when i put disk in it installed automaticlly as normal.
So thanks again for your help.
I have two more problems which i have put on another thread.

See how easy that was m8? If you're unsure about any particlar image then you can mount that image (Alcohol 120%), then use ClonyXXL to scan the virtual stealth drive to determine if there's any cd protection on it. Congrats!

Thx Shoey,
Not yet sure what you meant by what you descriped there but i am learning as i go along and no doubt will get stuck again.
The tutorials are brillaint but sometime i think us newbies panic afraid that we are going to lose everything, therefore we ask first.
Anyway thanks guys and please look at my other questions in VCD and SVCD, would appreciate your input.

1. Mount the Image in the Alcohol Virtual Drive
2. Fire up CloneyXXL (http://www.clony.smokers-board.de/)
3. Select the virtual drive and hit the big scan button
4. Sit back and results will appear!

Hi Everyone,
I have two problems with 2 different movies so would appreciate anyones help.
First i have dl a movie and it is in Video format, i wish to copy this to SVCD format. I have a copy of your tutorials for copying etc but cant see any programs mentioned that convert video to mpeg2 so i can then copy to SVCD (i assume that is the right way). Can someone tell me the best program to use.
Secondly, i dl another movie (centropy) in two parts CD1 & CD2. I extracted CD1 and it only has 2 further winrar files ctrp & ctr1. When i attempt to extract ctrp it wont let me but i can see that it consists of bin file.
When i extract CD2 it has 25 winrar files in it and when i go to extract the first one it goes through various extracting motions and then tells me to locate file 26. It then stops and nothing is then extracted when i look in thwe folder.
When i originally extracted CD1 & 2 it told me that there was an unexpected end of archive, however the size of the files (800 & 799 mb) matches the size of what i dl.
I have read the tutorials but not sure on this one.

Does your home dvd player support SVCD playback? I "assume" the mpeg file (mpeg1=vcd)?
You can use a program called AVS Video Converter 2.2 and convert the mpeg1 to mpeg2. I don't use Nero that much but if you have the mpeg2 (SVCD) encoder you "might" be able to convert that way.
