I have a question, if i can perfecltly burn securom 4.8x protected CD's like WIII: the frozen throne and more, am i suposed to be able to write succesfully Safedisk one???, or safedisk is harder to copy, i dunno, or for copying securom you dont need EFM encoding, just this question, because in clonyxxl says 10 skulls in securom and 9 in safedisk, i think it should be possible, but not sure.
Thks

So your "install" disc spins up in your drive(s) with no problems? Not every "rom" can bypass the twin sector cd scheme of the SecuROM 4.8.x cd protection, therefore a "play" disc must be burned (bwa or mds file) tucked inside the folder where the image of the SecuROM 4.8.x was saved. EFM encoding isn't a issue backing up SecuROM but your "reader" must have the ability to read sub-q channel (data\audio). EFM encoding is a factor when backing up Safedisc 2.5.x-2.9.x.
So when you read threads here mentioning "2 sheep burner", this refers to burners that "write regular bit patterns correctly "1 sheep burners" write regular bit patterns almost correctly. SecuROM 4.8.x is the tougher pc protection to backup (my opinion).
