I had the same trouble as markpark when trying to download photos from my V220 using mobile phone tools.
I downloaded both P2k drivers & P2k tools from:
http://motoaide.com:8081/download.htm

Unzip the two files.
Connect your V220 using your usb cable
Windows XP will detect the phone then start asking for lots of drivers.
Just keep pointing windows in the direction of the P2K drivers folder that you unzipped earlier until windows says that your device is ready for use.
Launch P2K tools. If it can't find the phone, unplug the cable from the computer and reconnect it.
click on connect and wait.
Once it's found the phone, click on refresh and the directory of the phone will appear as a folder called 'a'
Now you should be able to download photos and then delete them from the phone. I also changed the message on the LCD on the lid from orange to my name.

How do you send pictures on the v220 to an e-mail address?

Hook the 220 up to the PC. use "file transfer" to transfer the photo from the 220 to your desk top, (for example). Right click on the photo file on your desk top and use the "send to" command to send to a recipient by email.

The file transfer is in the Mobile Phone Tools program which I assume
you have.

Because all your help is so useless, I gave up! I just texted all my pictures to a mate of mine who has bluetooth so he could transfer them onto his computer, and he e-mailed them to me!

It's as simple as that! lolololololololol!

hi there

I am having trouble syncing my outlook calendar to the phone. Although I do not get any error message, calendar events coming from outlook do not give any alarm. Instead the v220 only turns on the light as if I had opened it.

I have mobile phone tools 3.11c, win xp with sp2.

THanks a lot

For copying your photo's from your Motorola V220 to your PC you can download the following programme from EMULE:
Motorola Mobile Phonetools Deluxe V3.23.exe
You also need the P2K driver and then you can copy photo's,music, video's It works for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have just recently tried to transfer photos from my V220 to PC and am running into all the same problems. Nothing has been posted recently. All the old links seem to be dead. Does anybody have any current MPT download, driver links, etc.?

The link on my previous posting has expired. It is now:

http://motoaide.com:8081/download.html

Here you can download the P2K tools & Drivers

Tip:
If the software doesn't recognise your phone straight away, try swapping USB sockets or restarting your computer with the phone connected

I use this software all the time to transfer and delete images from my V220, believe me, it DOES work! + it's free!
