hi lads on reply light you need to scan for you channels first then when you have them go to menu parental control press 7777 then press ok then red button then exit out you should see on your tv 1800 now means it is trying to find codes when i did that it came up on my tv 1800:scrambled! and didn't find any chenneles
any ideas

No I actually don't work for replay lite.I don't work for anybody at the moment, lost my job a couple of weeks ago.
I stumbled across this site a few weeks ago, when I had a problem with my replay lite. The guy's and girl's on this site guided me in the right direction and I got my box fixed through their instructions. So I decided to learn everything I could about the replay lite and come back and help anyone I could. We are all just ordinary people on this site with a good attitude to helping others.
I actually did meet Dr. Hans Blix in 2003, while I was working in Kuwait....he's a proper gent.
OH OH gotta go , wife wants me to take her shopping (My penance)

Hi raykelly,
Try this,
Menu - Parental Lock
Go To Manager Key
Current key-OK
Auto Update ----OFF
Exit back to TV screen.
Could you check what software is on your box.
Menu
Utility
Receiver Information
SW Version should be 7.52
When you were doing a channel search your setings should have been.
Start freq 162
End freq 866
Symbol Rate 6887,6952 (leave it at this,as some channels have been changed)
Constellation 64QAMSearch by network ON.
If you are ok flashing the box, you can do this.
Download the file below to your desktop.

It has all my channels and favourites on it. All are working, but set##ta 2 will come on only sometimes, mostly on though.
You need a null modem lead part number L71BTDon't accept anything that has not got this part number on it.
Down the stb link file below to your desktop.

Run the stb link file.
Connect the null modem lead from your PC to the box.
Click Write Factory Data.
Get the file dub channel fav
Click Write Factory Data
There are 64 blocks to upload.
Wait a couple of minutes more after your PC has read all blocks transferred.
The red/green light should be flashing much more quickly than it was when you could visibly see the files transferring.
Then unplug the null modem lead and the box.
Power up the box again and in a few moments all my channels and favs will be on your box.

Hi pfogo,
I have just messed my password on purpose, to simulate your problem.
I got the box up and running by doing the following.
Menu.
Factory default (it will read all channels will be deleted)
Press ok.
Wait for the box to come back on.
Then go to menu,
User Installation
Parental lock
Current password 0000
Parental lock ?off
Install lock ----off
New password 7777
Confirm password 7777
Exit to TV Screen,
You need to go to parental lock again
Current password
Type 7777
Goto key manager.
Current key----ok
Auto update -----off
Exit to TV screen and you should be sorted.
You should not have lost any channels, but if you did, do a rescan or go to my post above that has all the channels for download to your box via your pc.

I have a question. Can the replay lite be used in USA? or is there another box that I can get the Irish channels on while in USA?
That would be slightly unexpected but very good for me if there was.

Hi hans blix,
I don't think the replay lite could be used in America.
Different cable setupover there and probably different frequency's and symbol rate.
Replays are set up for English/Irish cable systems.
The replay lite can be used with TV types that are PAL or NTSC.
I'm not sure what american TV's are set up for.

He would be able to watch Irish Programmes on the net.
I will check around though and if any of our forum friends can shed any light on the subject, please let us know.

I didn't know there was a channel 4+1,
I haven't come across it in my scans in Dublin.
I have all the other +1 channels.
When you flash your box with that file, you will just have to rename favs.
1 general tv
2.movies
3.sports
4.music
5.kids
6.documentaries
7.news
8.others.

It will be a manual rescan for that particular channel.

i looked at the software on the box and it wasn't 7.52 so i Presume it needs flashing.
about that Null Modem Cable should be a 9-Pin Female to 9-Pin Female a 25-Pin Female to 9-Pin Female that i get

The replay box is different software to the replay lite.
Replay box 7.51 is the file you need.
It?s flashed the same: null modem lead part number L71BT.
