Xbox controller w/ USB adapter, will it work on 360??

Has anyone tried, or does anyone know, if you have an orginial xbox controller with a usb adapter cable and plug it into a xbox 360 will it work?

If not, does anyone know of any 3rd party manufactuer that makes a controller for the 360 that has analog pressure face buttons like the original xbox controller has?

Nope it won't work. Or at least as of a year ago it didn't work. But i'm sure it still won't work. I made one of those usb things to use with my computer and when i got the 360 i was hoping as well that it would work with my 360. But nope.
