Hi im a newbee at this, just got a maxtor 200gb hdd, and when i put it in my ps2, it recogniced it but, then i removed it at put it in my usb enclosure to put some games on it then when i put it back in my ps2 it says there is no harddrive, what am i doing wrong?

you have to put games on using winhip throigh your pc.

Yes I know, but when i first put my hdd in my ps2 and booted up hdloader it found the harddrive, and asked if it should format it? I answerd yes, and the format went fine, then i put a game on it via the ps2, and it worked fine.

Then i removed the hdd from the ps2 and put it in the usb enclosure and connected it to my pc, started winhiip and put on some more games, but when i put it back in my ps2 it says that it cant find any hdd connected to the ps2.

Now my question is why?

Could it be the external install or "format" its own driver onto the hard drive which makes it incompatible with ur ps2 netword adapter?
