Plantronics Bluetooth Problem

I bought the Plantronics Discovery 640 Bluetooth headset about six months ago at a retail store. It came with three soft rubber ear tips of different sizes for best fit. After using the most comfortable one for a couple of months the soft rubber kept getting softer and softer till it was actually falling apart. I'm currently using the second one and it's starting to do the same thing. The store where I bought it says they don't sell parts and I haven't been able to find them for sale anywhere. Has anybody else had the same problem?
