Hey guys, first off thanks for all the help and tutorials you guys post on this forum. Without it I'm sure I'd have bricked 20 psp's by now. Anyways-

I recently got a psp off craigs and it has the daunting "C1003" begind the UMD drive. Is there anyway that it could be another mobo beside the TA-082? Or is that the for sure sign that it is?

Also, the fw is at 2.60, so I'm trying to figure out if the 2.71 downgrader is more secure, or the 2.8 since Noobz just came out with a new one. Your thoughts?

I actually dont have a duo right now. When I bought it, it just came with the console and charger. Come payday, I'll be looking for a 2 gig stick.

Back when I had my first psp I got a 2 gig from ebay and it worked fine. Anywhere else I can find a decent then, they seem to be expensive in the retail stores :(

Just wondering. Can you run HENC and DEVhook on ver2.81 TA-082 PSP?
Want to get another PSP all now are ver 2.81 or 3.02

As far as I know 2.81 hasn't been cracked yet. If it was 2.8 you could downgrade to 2.71 and be golden, but at 2.81 you might just have to wait for DA/Noobs/or 0okm to come out with something. But then again, I could be wrong.
