I have a new Sony Vaio notebook and I am experiencing a lot of trouble in burning DVDs and even CDs.
I started well with my dvd burner (Sony UW50a), but in a couple of months I installed a lot of sw to try (nero, dvd2one,dvdxcopy and so on).
Now I can burn only dvd-rw (not always)and some cds.
The problem happens with different media.
But when I look at dvd-burner properties/drivers I can see that there are different drivers than the ones installed at first use.
This means that some, but not all, sw change these settings.
Maybe this is the problem in burning many of us have?
Now I will format the drive, reinstall os with factory ready recovery disks and, first, I will save drivers with a program such "windrivers backup" or "mydrivers".
Then I'll try to reinstall one of those loved sw.
Any ideas?
