hi could someone please recommend a good downgrader for my 2.71 psp i am scared to death of bricking it i dont think i have a ta-082 board as i have the ic6001 letters behind the umd??

That's the one I've always used before. Please do ensure you don't have a TA-082 before you do it. The process is very simple.

After downgrading I recommend you upgrade to Dark Alex's 3.03 OE A (then 3.03 OE B update).

You want to use the 2.71 FULL downgrader rather than the LITE version.
