I've been playing Resistance online with no problems what so ever. But when I play nba 2k7 or madden online they are both horribly laggy. Does anyone else have this problem? Or is it something I'm doing wrong on my end?
I have a 60 GB and I'm using the wireless connection. I have a D-link router and I've opened up the ps3 to the internet by enabling the DMZ on my router (otherwise I can't connect to a game with NBA 2k7). Also, 2k7 only lags a little bit but madden is horrible. I think it's a server issue with these two but I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same thing.
I am in Washington and haven't had a problem with madden, but my uncle in Cali can never get on! I have found that the PS network is much better in my area than XBOX LIVE
There are way to many factors that can contribute to lag, 1:) your internet service provider, 2: distance from your wireless router, 3:Madden has never not lagged, there's just too much going on for it not to.4: Individual severs for each game are different and too many users at one time can cause them to lag or even crash as I have experienced.

Word, both of us live in the heartland of Microsoft and my ps3 on wirless is faster than my wired 360
My PS3 is much faster than my 360, I have found that Pesistance is geting faster and fsater every day, that was the slowest game for me! I think sony is trying to stick it to microsoft!
resistance is a sony made game more or less and use specific servers set up by sony... but the other games are EA and us ethe EA servers... and thier servers have never really been to great on any system
