I broke my xbox when I was trying to mod the dashboard I think I may have deleted something. The screen starts up normal then when the xbox appers with the words microsoft under it, it stops and does nothing more if you could e-mail me the help it would be very helpful

so what exactly were u doing to cause it not to work?? oh just so u know e-mails are against the rules the mods will get onto u about it

the forum moderators will... re do what you did... if you dont know what you did ...re install the dash board... use slayer's disc or use the a.i.d disc..

if you have a softmodded box, dont uses slayers unless you want to brick it

I do have a soft modded box and I am new so you would have to be very specific also I will do anything to fix it well wich ever is better and how do I reinstall it without getting to the dashboard

check if you can still FTP if u can just reinstall the ms dash if u cant ur best bet would be hot swap or chip it

I can't FTP but I can play games but I have to start with the disk in and then start it for it to play

ok then all you have to do is start it with the disk that you used to intall the softmod and restore the the ms dashboard and you should be OK

I can start the game but the linux files are not on the xbox and I cant move them from the memory card to the harddrive. when I try to do it with splinter cell it says start profile and there is no linux profile
I am also not going to want to hotswap because it's not my computer and I don't want to break it. if there's any way to get around it it would be very appreciated

If your not seeing the files when you load splinter cell try to put in a newer xbl game and see if it will give you the dash update

yea try halo 2 mybe even a newer one like madden and let it load up and a screen should pop up and ask if you want to update and click yes

na when u start the game a screen should pop up asking if you want to update dont try to get on live until you got the dash

Hi,
I really need Help with my Xbox!!! It was originally modded and I bought it from this guy..it worked fine..but one day something just happened and i guess blew everything.. I had Avalauch software before and NOW when i turn on it only gives me the "green X and blk screen w/ mircosoft on bottom". and only gives me few options ex: Memory,Audio,xbox live & Setting.
Please someone let me know what can I do in this Situation..how do i restore my games n stuff.. I really have no Clue after Modding or softmoddin n stuff...

ok rubish download aid 3.0 and burn that to a dvd r and put it in ur box and install the dash aid is a recovery disk
