right now its gotta be METAL GEAR SOLID : PORTABLE OPS
its a great game, one of the best for the psp

Hey,
I just got back from Best Buy with my first PSP and Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops. I'm too tired to do any hacking right now, but I put in MGS and it says I have to upgrade to 2.81 (I have 2.60 currently). I'm not sure what the latest firmware statuses are, but should I ugrade to 2.81? And if I don't, is there any way to play this UMD by another route? Like if I change to 3.03OE or whatever?

first of all, your in a totally wrong thread. so ill answer both.
good game - medal of honor for psp. pretty fun.
and noobie - dont upgrade if you wish to not play cracked games and homebrew. 3 words for you my friend.. SEARCH SEARCH SEARCH.

do NOT upgrade to 2.81, you can downgrade from your 2.60 to 1.5 then put custom 3.03 oeb and it will play... dont upgrade with sony to play that game, it will take you a step back
NOT A NEWBIE TO THE SCENE, JUST TO AFTERDAWN... been around since the days of aol 3.0, fate x and havoc. good times.....

one of the all time best online games is syphon filter dark mirror plus i wanna get pursuit force i mostly like sims myself but i love a good shooteri have bout 20-30 games and movies or so most i just get by watching the game shops and grabbing them for cheap used..

I have been searching, which is why I didn't upgrade yet. It's just that this thread looked live, and sometimes you run in to information and your not sure if it's up to date. Also, I bought it because I thought it was a cool game and wanted to try out the PSP before I mess around with it.

Can anyone confirm this? Will my retail MGS play with 3.03oeb?
