also can I ask why you need a cable.xml as all dbox's should come with this file as standard.. r u referring to the services.xml - the file that stores all your channels you can recieve

believe I need cable.xml to execute scan. I have flashed new image Sporter-pro 108.When I try to scan for services I get "transponder scan failed".I cant change cable provider from Kabel Deutschland and thought if I got a cable.xml with Uk Settings this would solve problem

Thanks but no luck, can't overwrite existing cables.xml for some reason. Think I will try another image, any suggestions which one to try for uk use?

uploading by FTP. merely get a transfer failure message.similarly can't copy or overwrite cables.xml on dbox, seems to be protected

what FTP are you using, the built in shit Windows FTP or a proper FTP client like Flash FTP or even the free WS FTP

Thanks for your input.Finally gave up on sportster108 and flashed an earlier image. No problems now!
