alright, have him upgrade to 2.71, and use the 2.71 Generic Downgrader. Follow the instructions, and he'll be at 1.5 in no time. Easiest downgrader I've ever used. :P


P.S. When he gets to 2.71, he'll need HEND to activate homebrew so that he can use the downgrader.

HEND is a homebrew enabler for firmware 2.71. You can download it here.

Once downloaded, put the files where they need to be (and remember, this only works on 2.71). Before you activate it, make sure there's no umd in the psp. And then you go in the photo folder, and go into the hend folder, and it'll restart your psp, once this is done, go to the game menu and click on the generic downgrader.

Here's all the stuff you'll need:

2.71 upgrade eboot, use this to upgrade.

2.71 Generic Downgrader, this is the easiest and safest to use, because you don't need to dump any firmwares, you use the original firmware eboots to downgrade.

i did everything..... and it said sucessful press x to restart.. i did and now nothing happens
