HDD + ModChip?

I'm thinking about modding my PS2. I'm going to get the network adapter, and already have a HDD for it. I have a copy of HDLoader already.

Now, I would also like to copy downloaded games/burned games(from BT) to the HDD. Would I just be able to get install the modchip, then boot up with HDLoader, insert the burned game, and have it copy?

Or is there any other way? Copying downloaded games to the PS2 HDD via LAN?
