im trying to use my phillips DVD+R dvd 8631 with firmware bd10 to burn my backup of gears of war but i keep getting error messages when i try to burn with xbox backup creator and clone CD.
i made the backup with my samsung tsst.....something drive. i no this is the correct dvd drive to copy xbox 360 games so im pretty sure the copied image is not the problem.

*EDIT*- Its from using a non blank dvd, i just tried it with a dvd i thought was blank and it failed, exact same message, tried with a dvd i KNEW was blank and its burning right now no problem
alright open something like imgburn and read where it says the details on your disc to the right side, it will say erasble:No empty:yes or no let me know what it says

you no what..... i tried burning a normal CD with the phillips drive and it didnt work, then i tried burning a DVD with the drive and it didnt work........so im pretty sure the drive doesnt work overall
my own fault for taking the drive from a pc scrapyard. il buy a new dual layer writer today
