original gears of war wont load?

does anyone know the solution to this? my mates just had his 360 flashed and the only game he has is the original gow, when he puts it in his drive it tells him to put it in a 360 console?

i have heard of this before with this game but does anyone know the fix?
just given him a backup to see if that works
