did you already post this? either way, if you have a modded xbox you can just use the xbox tutorial and back it up and then get the newest firmware and you should be in business

what procedure did you use for it because this is what I am doing.
Extract using sh-d162c with latest version of xbc.
Extract that .iso file with wx360
Create .iso with craxtion 4
Burn .iso using clonecd

Why is this not working?

I've got a copied version of Fable that I've had for a while. Can I use that to make a copy that would work on the 360?

And more importantly, how do I do it?

Do you have a Sammy Drive with the 5.0 xtreme or later? If not then's there nothing you can do with an old downloaded copy. If so pop it in. It just may work.

I've got the hitachi drive with version 1.3 of the Gary Opa firmware. I didn't download this copy of Fable. I got it off of someone- not sure where he got it from though.

Is there a way to do it without having to take the 360 apart or plug it into the PC.

With that drive and firmware that backup won't work. You'll need an original copy to be ripped like a 360, injected with the SS and then burned like a 360 to a DL DVD+R.

Memock, How do you use your original xbox? Do you use dvdtoxbox and then FTP the game to your computer and then burn it? If so then Im set! Please tell me how the modded original can help with burning 360 games.
