Subtitle destroys movie- VobSub

I downloaded a program called VobSub. When I try to install it I get some error: Error open file for writing ?vobsub.dll? which is located in C:\WINDOWS\system32
I just ignored that message and installed it anyways.
After the installation I started an application called submux.exe (that?s what gets installed when you install VobSub). I selected the subtitle file and the movie file and clicked the ?Mux? button. Now I wanted to play my movie but it doesn?t work anymore. All I get is a black screen and a text on the bottom saying ?gab2? in windows media player. DivX fails to play the AVI and says its not a supported format (it worked in DivX before I did that subtitle crap) and winamp wont play it either.
I am certain my whole movie is still there but I don?t know how to set it back to what it used to be like. Any idea?

I searched for the VobSub.dll on the net and downloaded it from http://www.dll-files.com - it?s smaller (100kb or something) than the file I installed with VobSub (300kb or something).
Now I CANT replace the 300kb with the 100 kb file I just downloaded. Windows says some person or application is currently using that file. Of course I can?t even delete that DLL from my system32 folder- no program (besides windows- at least to my knowledge) as running at the moment and yet I can?t delete that file. Any idea how I can get rid of that dll?
