psplayer media test not playing AVI

i got an AVI file and the psplayerMT couldnt run it. it can play other music but not AVI. it'll starts to load and then shut off the psp. what is wrong???

what codec is the AVI recorded in?

Even though it plays AVI files its still restricted as to what height of bitrate and resolution has been encoded into the file.
