psx game not working on the 302 eo-b firmware, help

I upgraded my psp to 302 eo-b, then when I use popsation to convert my ff7, it made a eboot.pbp file I copied the eboot and key to the x:psp/game/newfolder. when I pressed on the hot shot golf 2 icon, the warning screem and the psx logo came out, after that it froze and my psp turned my psp off. I have tried all 3 different rips (iso,bin,img) they all have the same problem. I used ultra iso to rip. can someone please tell what I'm diong wrong and how to fix this.
please help.

sorry for the double post but I forgot to mention the ff7 is a PAL ver but I already converted using some tools.

even if it is a PAL version it is known that it will still have problems no matter what even if you converted it to NTSC

and is ther any way upgarde to 303eo-b without have to downgrade to 1.5 first.
