Do i need the firmware version DL11 to burn ISO's?

i have an LG DL DVD burner and it originally came with the firmware version DL11 and i happened to upgrade it to DL13...does that affect anything? because i heard that i should downgrade back to DL11 but i have no clue how because i cant find a site where i would be able to.
i would appreciate some help
