Well I plan to pick up a good used PS2 and looking at the variety of methods to play backups of the games I will purchase. Well I see what appears to be 3 methods.

1. Swap Magic
2. HD Advance
3. Solderless Mod-chip

What method would be most efficient yet not too expensive? Should I go with a good used Slimline with swap magic or a 50001 series? Which PS2 model should I go for and which method? I don't have alot of money to waste so want to make the right decision but I really didn't see no threads that really did any type of comparison for pros, cons, and cost for each method.

Swap magic would work but a modchip would be a lot better. For Swap magic a slimline is best. For using a hd the fat ps2 is better
