I bought Halo 2 from a car boot sale at the weekend for £6 but it wont play in my 360... tried it in a normal xbox too and it doesnt work - so obviously its a crap disc!

I found halo 2 on newsgroups so downloaded and it works fine. Not really bothered about playing it online... wanted it more for local multiplayer with my mates!

My question is... can I apply the update that xbox live wants to do? and also can I play on live on the 360??? or shall I decline the update and stay offline?

but if you read about ss (security sectors) you might find somthing.

Seen as the Halo 2 that I bought from the boot sale was an original but didnt work... I would class it as a backup and not really piracy!

I obviously cant just go and take the game back and get a refund like I could if I bought it from a shop... but thought it was worth the risk of it not working for the sake of £6
