xbox games on double layer DVD - not to worry about .xbe file?

i have an xbox game, that i want to play on my xbox360, currently flashed with xtreme 5.2

don't know much about the .xbe file, and wheather it should be patched or not to be burned onto a single layer dvd, but if i burn it onto a double layer dvd, as you were forced, back in the old xbox360 hacking days, would i then have to worry about the .xbe file? will it work, regardless of patched or not pacthed .xbe file?

hope someone can help me :)

I know only this about xbox1 backups on the 360 and it is this. The .xbe has to be original.
