Does anyone else believe that when downloading updates or demos that it takes at least 20-30 minutes to complete?

I also have a Xbox 360 and it does not take more than 5-10 minutes to download a demo. Both are on a wireless network only a couple feet away from the router.

It's possible that the PS3 demos take longer to download because they are larger files than those of the 360. Also, the XBOX live service may be better than the PS3 Network in your area; I've heard this same situation, going both ways (i.e. Xbox=Slow,PS3=Fast or Xbox=Fast,PS3=Slow).

the ps3 has a problem with the wireless built into it and sony hopes to speed up downloads soon

This issue was fixed on the last firmware update...
