Magic Key II Question regarding adhesive

I was just wondering how effective the adhesive is on the various magic key tools. My PS2 disc bake sticks out way to far and scratches the bottom of my discs as I place them in. Is the adhesive used to keep the tools in place strong? I don't want them coming loose(brake) then muck up my games by being pushed into the tray or some other freak accident.
