alright so check it out. i have a version 5 ps2 (scph-30001 R) i have swap magic, and i borrowed my friends game nba 2k7, copied it with DVD Decrypter on to a new disk, a maxell DVD-RW disc,and i have a flip top lid. So first time i try to put in dvd swap magic, when it stopped i switched it with my copy, pressed x, and the game spins around a couple times then i get the message, not a valid ps2 disc, so i search it up here on afterdawn, find a different way to boot using the cd version of swap magic, ejecting the tray, putting in a high toc disc, then switch it with my copy and press x. The first time i tried it, using a toc disc spiderman 2, it worked and i was playing nba 2k7. I play for a while, shut off my ps2, come back later, try the same method, and it doesnt work anymore, but instead goes back to the menu and brings up a red screen saying please insert a ps or ps2 format disc. now i keep trying again for a billion times until one time it lluckily worked again. i played again for a while until i shut it off, and next time i wanna play it same crap happens. so this time i try a different toc disc, and decide to use gran turismo 4, load it again with no luck. I do however have an imported copy of tiger woods pga tour 03 and it works with the original dvd swap method no prob, every time. I think thats about everything so any help would be appreciated.
Btw: i heard about these cd loader and zone loader things if that has anything to do with this please tell me.thanx a whole bunch.
never mind, i just tried verbatim DVD-R that i went out and bought just now instead. They work like a charm, i burnt my game again to this. Its not like maxell was a bad media but i guess it was cuz i was usin -rw's and not just plain old -r's.
