I have a problem. I have burned video DVDs using SonicMyDVD. These DVDs work perfectly fine on my set top DVD player and my DVD burner which recorded the DVD. However, when I try and watch it on my friends DVD-ROM I can watch one chapter and when I go to the main menu to choose another chapter it freezes. What is happening? Also, do different DVD player/DVD-ROMs read DVDs at different speeds?

Different DVD ROMs have differing speeds, but all should play a DVD disc constantly. It may be the whole system as opposed to the DVD ROM. Try copying it to the hard drive before playing!

It could be his DVD player software. Check that all the settings are OK.
