Ok so, I got the camera for christmas from my father (he bought the camera on ebay so we can't return it, but it is brand new). After a couple weeks everything stopped working...well not really but here are the porblems I'm having:
- 1st the display screen stopped working. when you opened it, the picture would slowly fade away, until it was eventually all white. At first if the display screen was close enough to the body of the camera it would still work, which made me think loose wiring, but now that doesn't work at all either.
- 2nd, the sound playback messed up. I was still able to record with my camera, so and it would work fine, so that's what I did I still used it. One morning I plugged it into the tv to watch a video I had taped and the sound was messed up. Everytime someone spoke the sound blotched out and made a wierd squeaky sound (it's kind of hard to explain the sound it made), and the louder someone spoke on the tape, the louder and worse the noise would get. At first I thought it was just a bad tape, so I put in a different tape, and that one does it too. BUT I used the camera again after I noticed the wierd sound, and the sound works on the new stuff I recorded but still not the first of the tape.
- 3rd, since the tapes didn't seem to be working for me for a while, I went out and got a memory stick for the stupid thing. At first EVERYTHING was fine and dadny with that as well. but of course with my luck that soon changed. the sound with the memory card is very low. again like everything else, IT WAS WORKING FINE WHEN I GOT IT, but now when I record on the memory card and play it back you can't hear a thing. I thought at first that the sound wasn't working but I plugged it into the tv and turned the tv WAY up and could just barely hear something that I had yelled into the camera. Thinking this was a cord problem I switched the camera from memory card to tape and played video from there (without touching or moving the cord I had plugged into the tv) and the sound worked perfect (well loudness wise, it still had that stupid noise comming from it).
SO....has anyone experienced ANY of these problems?
Does anyone have any advice for me? if so I would really REALLY appreciate it.
