I have a TA-082 motherboard running emulated 3.01 and I was reading that a solid solution has been made for downgrading any mother board with the gta:lcs exploit.

So i was wondering one is this true and two i have no problem with the emulated firmware i have now but is going down to 1.5 worth the risk/trouble.

Yes it is going to be worth it because 3.03oe-c is freaking amazing. It extend your psp life by a long time.

The claim that it will "extend your psp life" is completely untrue. Although it can help you in some sticky situations from bad flashing. If your uncomfortable with the downgrading situation I wouldnt try it at first. Maybe watch a few videos that can demonstrate it for you (youtube has tons). The benefits of custom firmware are quite better then the standard sony ones. My personal favorite is the fact u can create PSX eboots and play ps1 games on ur psp. It also allows direct iso loading from the XMB, so devhook isn't necessarily needed either. If u need more info on custom firmware u can ask here or read a readme from a downloaded package.

I read it impossable to downgrade that motherboard past 2.5, but now with the gta exploit you can go down to 1.5, i was wondering if that stuff was true.

just use the ta-082 downgrader made my dark_alex, worked fine for me!
