I have been copying movies for about 2 years now, and I have never come across this problem. I recently installed a Pioneer DVR-710 16X internal burner. I use either DVD Decrypter or DVDFab Platnium along with DVD Shrink. When I first installed the drive everything was working great when suddenly the drive started to read adn write at 2X if I am lucky. A 4 GB file takes almost an hour to burn! I have gone through on the settings and made sure they were changed to fastest, but it did nothing. Any ideas of what may have caused this or how I can change it?

klubbhead, your drive probably slipped into PIO mode where as it needs to be in DMA mode you can fix that in device manager or use this guide
