I just bought a VIA VT6421A sata raid controller pci card, when i go to read my firmware its comes back port 1f0 master/slave a0 has anyone had this same problem and come up with a solution

1. Make bootdisk with Xtreme bootmaker 3 and have it hexedit the mtkflash file for you.
2. Plug 360 drive SATA cable to 6241a in primary SATA channel
3. Turn on 360
4. Turn on PC
5. When you boot to Dos with the bootdisk type "mtkflash r /m /sata orig.bin" - obviously without the " "
6. When it finishs reading, turn off the PC & 360 and unplug the SATA cable from the 360
7. Boot to windows
8. Take your orig.bin file you just made and copy it to the xtreme52 folder
9. Double click the make xtreme firmware icon
10. Take the x52x.bin file you get when you finish and copy it to your bootdisk
11. Power off PC and reconnect 360 DVD Drive cable to the 6241a
12. Power on 360
13. Power on PC and boot to dos with bootdisk
14. Type mtkflash w /m /sata x52x.bin (where x is the name of your file)
15. Power off everything and test.

that is what ive been doing menace its not working for me, does anyone know how i can access the bios of the pci sata controller?

Do you have the drivers 5.30 installed? If no, get them from www.viaarena.com. Also make sure when you use xtreme bootmaker, put a check in the bad-flash for m28 (even though it's a m25) and try the 10 second trick.
