A steak isn't a steak unless it's slathered in blue cheese :)

LOL, the trick is to get your fire really really really hot! Then you slap it on and the fire sears it and seals the juices and the heat inside. It will actually continue to cook for a bit after you take it off. On a thick cut 1 1/2" to 2", To cook it any longer than 9 minutes (5 on one side and 4 on the other) starts making the meat tough. This way it comes out tender with a warm center. BTW, take a pat of butter and rub it in just before you take it off the grill and add a little fresh ground pepppercorns, mmmmm....yummy!

Around here all your better resturants won't guarantee the flavor or taste of your steak if you order it cooked more than medium rare.

LOL, my wife is the same way as you, she likes 'em cooked done to the point of shoe leather and untill they curl up on the ends. It's all I can do to force myself to cook them that way, but hell, what can I do, she's the boss! LOL

Bison is good eats too, Buffalo for those not familiar, but the best red meat I've ever had is Elk - oh man, red and lean and tender. Even the parts typically used as stew meat is so good. You've never dseen redder meat.

Elk steak medium rare with saute'd mushrooms, jacket potato and vegetable.

or

Elk stew meat, floured and browned in a hot skillet; then mix and cook slowly (crock pot) with potato, onion, celery, carrot, salt, pepper. Cook 8 - 12 hours, real slow.

Make sure you are ready for either treat with fresh baked bread.

Actually I lived in Colorado for a while after graduating college(didn't have a job and it's a great place for ski bums,LOL) and you're right. Elk is as good a steak as you can get. Lean and not much fat, except for the marble fat which actually improves a steak, it's definitely one of the best meats I've ever eaten.

Far too many idiots, not enough bullets! A small thermo-nuclear device should do it though. Just light the blue touch paper & retire to a safe distance!

pulsar, there is more idiots than nukes & bullets. what you need is a planet buster but evac all seniors members(if worthwile) & above with female or male companionship (depending on the sex of the member) to another planet before letting loose with the planet buster

Now then, there is a proposal. Which seniors are worthwhile? I am extremely handsome, very funny, & an all round really nice guy.(LOL)
Does that mean I would be OK in the new Utopia?

I am rugged and athletic, which would produce babies that would make good hunters for the new utopia....

They could shoot cow elk for our meat.

Hmm......or emule deer ;>)

Afterdawn Utopian planet, my partner would be my PC. She is more reliable than ANY woman. (Not that I wish to come across as bitter & twisted!)

I'm an ex-engineer. We should all draw up some plans for a spacecraft of some kind. Hmm, this could go on for a while!

The Earth is run by mice anyway, according to Douglas Adams.
We need to start again. I will try to make an infinite improbabilty drive. Shouldn't be too difficult! Saves mucking about with hyperspace!
If someone could try to locate a new planet by hacking into the Hubble & looking, then producing some sort of map, so if we get lost, then we would have some sort of way to find the new World.
Ideally we need to be able to create a freak wormhole in the space time continuum. That would solve the ageing problem.
Saying that the light speed theory could be taken advantage of. Are any of you guys familiar with quantum mechanics? I have difficulty in understanding it at times. Ed Witten could prove handy!

Anyone else have any ideas about this? Could do with a hand with some of it. Too much for one. As handsome as I am & as rugged & athletic as bigorange is, it may be tricky.
