Hello there! This is my first post on the forum! I'm a regular reader and learn a lot here.
I have mod my GC 4 months ago, its a Rev A, GC with QoobPro. It was working just fine (almost perfect, no problems with 80% of games burned). Yesterday, it simply stop to read any dvd, or even original games. When I insert a burned game, it displays "loading dvd..." and just quit reading. For original games, it displays "running game..." the laser goes to the border of the disc, and stays there forever (actually the maximum I've waited was 2 minutes :)). Some games, like Luigi's mansion the nintendo logo is displayed and then nothing else, others like wind waker, just a black screen.

Well I never tweked my laser (was trying to keep it as close to factory's default as possible), so I've opened it today and checked the value 147 ohms, tried many other values:
250,235,200,150,118,90,72. None of them read the discs. What could be? a problem with the laser unit or the modchip?
Is it possible to disable the Qoobchip? I tried to unplug the tray cable but it complains, did not tried to unplug the other side...

Any suggestion, help, hint would be most appreciated.
