downgrade ur psp, and install one of the OE firmwares, and use that instead.

rite to downgrade i think you are going to have to upgrade to 2.80 or 3.03 one of them i anit sure just have a search for psp downgraders there are plenty of tutorials on this site.

OE firmwares are custom firmwares that people can make but the only one's out at the moment is dark alex's they basically give u all the adavntages of playing iso's along with the adavantages of having a 3.03 firmware ie to let u play recent umd games just google dark alex custom firmware and u will be fine

hope this helps.

am i correct that i have a TA-086 motherboard? i have a IC1003 on the left and a IC6001 on the right of my psp. i also found a link in downgrading a 2.71 to 1.5, here it is, http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/389016 - is this suitable for my psp? if so, when i downgrade my psp to 1.5, what's next? upgrade it to 3.03? im confused, sori to be bothersome, just new here..thanks for your help.

yes if you follow that downgrader you should be fine.

once you have sucssesfully downgraded to 1.50 then you can either choose to stay at 1.50 ( it will allow you to play all your game isos)but very few proper umd games or you can upgrade frm 1.50 to dark alex's custom 3.03 0E firmware ( you can play all your isos) and play all the latest umd games as well as chaging your xmb icons etc.(if i was u i would do this.)just google dark alex's custom firmware to find the upgrade.

hope this helps.

rite as long as you followed the instructions your psp shouldnt be briked you mite have to go in to recovery mode tho as it looks like your psp is pretending to be bricked you will need to hold down the r trigger on boot up to get in to recovery mode just have a look around the forum to find out wat to do frm there there r lds of topics about it but i seriously doubt that you have a completely usless brick on your hands.

@tipst3r80

Your PSP is bricked...you followed the wrong tutorial..
You should have followed the downgrade tutorial for TA-082 PSPs...

Firmware History: TA-082 MOBO 2.6>2.71>1.5>3.02OE-A>3.02OE-B>3.03OE-A>3.03OE-A'>3.03OE-B>3.03OE-C
