recording function doesn't work anymore

I don't know if anyone else has had this problem, but my mwr20v6 used to record just fine. In fact, according to my mwr20v6 it still does because I can still play the DVD's with the content that was recorded on them by the mwr20v6. However, if I try to play the DVD's on other DVD players or my computer I can no longer do so. I used to be able to view them on any dvd player, but no longer. When I attempt to play them on another DVD player or computer, they act as if though it is a blank DVD disk. However, the Magnavox mwr20v6 plays them just fine.

Does anyone else know what's going on here? I don't believe I'm doing anything differently here.
