do i still have to downgrade then re-upgrade even to play downloaded psp games? and if i upgrade to and OE firmware can i play online? i heard someone saying that they could no longer play online.

wtf? who told you that? oe is specially made to run homebrew and all this good stuff. you can play isos, and yes, ONLINE too.

what firmware your psp have?
you need to have 1.5 to install dark alex custom firmware 3.03 oe
